As you all know, I signed my two baby sisters up for the club (10 and 13 or something like that).

Both of them love it. Mom says they won't get off the computer. I run their parent account, which is kind of fun, so I get to see what they are doing on the club. It's neat because already we are talking about their activities and what they want to do to earn stars, etc. It gives us something common.

I logged in as one of my sisters and was very impressed with the quality of the website. Frankly, I didn't think it would be worth the money, but after seeing it, I think it is! Granted, with the Felicity code and the coupons for club activation, it only cost $10 to sign them both up, but it may even be worth it at the $20 asking price.

The book quizzes are fun ways to practice reading comprehension skills. I loved that one of my sisters was able to earn stars for helping serve food at a homeless shelter with our brother David today. She was excited to write a little essay about it. All of the other activities they get stars for seem to promote similar positive behavior. The games are also fun.

I am really glad I spent the money and did this for them (and me, I can order my club outfits now!). A+. I only wish they had this when I was a girl! :-)

Yea--I'm glad that you (and they) like it. I was also hesitant at first, but once I joined, I knew it was the best $20 ($10?) I ever spent! She is on it all the time, and it's cheaper than buying one new computer game.

Also, I'm fairly sure that when you renew, it's only $10, but still comes with the $10 coupon!

I just purchased it for my cousin who is DD's age. They have been trying to send messages to each other for a week now and for some reason DC is not getting DD's messages and vice versa. Every time they check, neither has a message.

Not sure what's up with that!

But the activities are definitely good and worth joining in order to earn stars for.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Do you have your parental controls on? I don't know what the default is, but it is possible that the parent has to approve all incoming messges before DD (DC) can see them.

Yeah it's probably a parental controls issues - you can configure for open access or having to approve all messages your daughter sends or receives.

Since it is a family member, in the parental controls I allowed all messages from DC to come through without having to be approved by me first.

She just isn't getting them at all.
